The Forest Products Society will publish proceedings to provide to all attendees of the FPS International Convention. Full manuscripts are not required but are encouraged. PowerPoints are also required in advance for the proceedings. The deadlines are listed above and are critical for your paper to be included in both the program and the conference proceedings. If you are not the final author or presenter please advise us as soon as you know who that is.

Poster presenters must submit an electronic copy of their poster to their session chair and the conference organizers prior to the conference. A copy of your poster will be included in the conference proceedings. You may also submit a paper in addition or in lieu of the poster.
Posters will be mounted on a bulletin board with push pins. Please confine your presentation to a 32 inch x 48 inch (80 x 120 cm) space.
All illustrations should be prepared in advance. Proper illustration is critical to an effective presentation. The use of large lettering (legible at a distance of 3 feet or more) and minimal textual material is recommended. Use of colored ink in printing and colored paper in framing textual material can be attractive although artistic flair should not be excessive. Illustrations should not be mounted on heavy stock as this makes it difficult to mount them on poster boards. It is the responsibility of the author to design and print his/her poster.
The collection of the poster at the end of the conference is the author's responsibility. Any posters remaining after the conference ends will be destroyed.
SESSION CHAIR GUIDELINES
Here are a few details to help you prepare for the conference:
- Contact all your speakers and obtain a short biography (if you wish) for your introduction.
- Each speaker should be forwarding a copy of their presentation to you. Familiarize yourself with the content and provide feedback if necessary.
- Keep the FPS Program Chair (Hui Wan firstname.lastname@example.org ) and program manager (Jessica Reaves email@example.com ) apprised of any changes to your session.
- We will be providing a computer in your session room with all the presentations sessions pre-loaded. Any last minute changes must be made the day before or at a break prior to the session. Note: we will NOT be using your computer.
