Introduction to Wood Science Short Course

An introduction to the basics of wood science in a hard-hitting one day course from the field's leading professors. Held at the USDA Forest Products Laboratory in Madison and includes a tour. 72nd Forest Products Society International Convention

The FPS International Convention(IC) is the premier event for professionals in the forest products industry. It brings together hundreds of scientists, design professionals, managers, decision makers, and others from academia, government, nonprofit, and industry sectors to discuss the state of forest products research and learn about innovations in the field. In 2018 it will be co-held in conjunction with TAPPI’s 2018 International Conference on Nanotechnology, with bonus content and networking opportunities for IC attendees.
The FPS IC is a showcase for ideas for development and advancing the viability of wood-based products. Topics will include wood based products for construction, energy, composites, as well current issues around harvesting, environment, education and marketing for the industry. FPS Future of Wood Workshop and Mass Timber Tour

A one day workshop bridging the gap between forest product academics, students, researchers and industry professionals, co-located with the Timber Processing and Energy Expo.
