Moisture Movement and Control in Light-Frame Structures

The emphasis on energy conservation in recent years has resulted in changes in construction practices that have a major effect on moisture patterns in the structure components of buildings. Some of these changes result in a potential for condensation on cold surfaces with consequent hazards to the durability and maintenance of wood components and finishes. Some moisture control technology is available in recent literature and current studies are providing new information.
