A Pinned Sticker to Reduce Crook in Kiln-Drying Lumber

To reduce crook of lumber during drying, a conventional kiln sticker was modified by inserting metal pins through it vertically. Spacing between the pins was approximately 1/8 inch more than the width of the lumber. In a test of this type of sticker, crook was reduced 29 percent for southern yellow pine studs.
