Noise in the Woodworking Industry–A Review of the Literature

Although noise pollution has been of concern for over 20 years, very little has been reported or published in the American wood industry journals. Increase in the flow of information is necessary if the industry is to keep ahead of occupational safety and health standards. Noise level studies, noise source research, and noise abatement recommendations currently reported in the literature are discussed.
