The cyclic delamination test of CS-45-55 for interior plywood was found to be insensitive to gluing variables. For research purposes a more discriminating cyclic delamination test was devised, using a 1-inch by 10-inch plywood strip specimen, an extended soaking time of 16 hours, and raising the drying temperature to 150?F. The number of cycles of soaking and drying was extended until about 90 percent of the specimens showed some delamination, and the amount of delamination was measured quantitatively in inches.
