Fence Posts: An Untapped Market for the Wood Preserver

Estimates indicate annual use of fence posts at 500 million. Treated wood posts have only 1 percent of the market. Treated pine posts could save presently used post material, such as white oak, for other uses. The problem lies in marketing the treated wood, making treated wood posts widely available, and in educating users to recognize value of wood treatment.
