A new test is described for DFPA plywood containing white-pocket. Two-by-five-inch specimens with the grain of the outer plies parallel to length shall be submerged in water at room temperature for 4 hours, then dried at 100?F for 19 hours to maximum moisture content of 8 percent, ovendry weight. Specimens shall be run through three cycles, unless all have failed. Delamination of 1/4-inch in depth and 2 inches in length shall constitute failure. Delamination caused by localized defects other than white-pocket permitted within the grade shall disqualify the specimen. Finally, 95 percent of the specimens shall pass first cycle, and 85 percent shall pass all three cycles.
