A Rapid Delamination Test for Plywood

The rapid delamination test is based primarily upon an automatic test machine developed by the author. The machine test method is easy, fast, and not inhibited by the 8-hour working day. Specimens to be tested are placed in a rack, which is inserted in a horizontal, cylindrical tank. Water enters and drains from the tank by controlled valves and temperature and drying time are also automatically controlled. These controls make the machine an effective quality-control tool for precision testing of plywood.
