A system for computer-based design and implementation of time studies

A computer-based time study system was developed for timber harvesting operations. The system consists of four modules for design, data collection, data editing and processing, and preparation of data for statistical analysis. The system has been used successfully for production studies of logging throughout British Columbia. The system is suitable for application in disciplines other than forest engineering.
