A method for determining the implications for individual states of regional projections is presented. Growth allocations are based on historic growth per acre differences, projected acreage change, and projected inventory. Industry production is shifted in response to estimated stumpage price changes. Removals are allocated based on production and inventory shifts. Results from a recent analysis of the southern timber situation are discussed.
