The U.S. wood window and door market, driven by the new building construction and upkeep sectors, represents an important growth market for the secondary wood products industry. A model for the U.S. wood window and door market is built as a system of derived demand and oligopoly supply equations. The ordinary least square technique was used to estimate parameters of the model. Demand was found to be price inelastic and more sensitive to change in other construction costs. On the supply side, the price of wood windows and doors was effectively modeled using the prior year’s price and the change in price of the lumber input.
