Automation in the Board Industry

Continuous automatic production is essential in maintaining uniform density, thickness, and other physical properties of hardboard and other board products. Use of automatic equipment in board manufacture, from raw material to packaged product, is discussed. Various automatic machines and timing control devices, such as caul handling, hot press loader, hot press charger, feeder, vacuum pick-up unit, electric or pneumatic time controls, and tell-tale lights, are discussed.
