Commercial Development of Composite Plywood

Commercial manufacture of composite plywood, primarily for sheathing end-uses, will be initiated. Product and process development encompassing laboratory evaluations, creation and use of a pilot plant, and large-scale trial marketing has been going on for nearly 6 years. The developed composite panel features an inner-veneer replacement layer of oriented wood strand board that contributes significantly to the performance of the composite.
