Cyanoacrylate Resins in Internal Bond Testing of Particleboard

Internal bond tests are rather long and, especially when accelerated aging is involved, glues are needed that couple quick setting properties with ability to adhere to wet surfaces. Cyanoacrylates meet these requirements; a test conducted on samples glued on testing blocks with either epoxy or cyanoacrylate resins has shown no significant differences of results, in both wet and dry tests. However, their price limits their practicable use to very special situations.
