Pressure exerted on the molding mix in heated dies has a highly significant effect on bending strength, water absorption, specific gravity, and superficial hardness of the finished moldings. Pressure had the greatest overall effect on molding properties of the variables studied. Powdered synthetic resin adhesive mixed with wood particles had a highly significant effect on the properties of the moldings. Bending strength increased, water absorption decreased, specific gravity increased, and hardness increased with increasing moisture content.
