This study compared the change in shear moduli of sheathing grade flakeboard and plywood over a broad range of RHs (36 percent to 87 percent) that might be associated with actual interior use conditions. Throughout the cycle of test RHs, from low to high to low, the initial superiority in shear modulus of about 2-1/2 times was maintained by the flakeboard relative to plywood.
