Raw material loss is inevitable when match ripping, for tongue and groove and other glued joints and for final sizing of glued-up panels. Close attention to required over-widths, saw conditioning, and maintenance of ripsaw can yield important savings. A saw jointing and side dressing (angular for side clearance of saw teeth) device is described and recommended.
