Progress in Wood Preservation

During 1961 substantial advancement was made in the use of wood preservatives, dimensional stabilization, and fire-retardant treatments for wood. To be effective, however, the industry’s research and marketing efforts must be coupled with sound educational programs to demonstrate the merits of treated wood products. This paper is an FPRS annual review.
