Status of Drying Research and Practice

This is a compilation of projects, findings, and comments made during the year 1963-64, indicating the research and development efforts concerning wood drying. Topics covered are: air-drying, forced-air drying, kiln-drying, high-temperature drying, veneer and particle drying, special methods of drying, education of kiln operators, and wood-moisture research. Mention is made of the 104 references in the bibliography. This is not a critical review but a form of abstracting the research and developments for the drying of wood.
