|International Journal of Forest Engineering|
The International Journal of Forest Engineering (IJFE) is dedicated to the dissemination of scholarly writings in all aspects of forest operations, both empirical and theoretical. Most published articles are original research, but review articles are also welcome. An important role of the IJFE is to report on existing practices and innovations in forest engineering by scientists and professionals from around the world to promote environmentally sound forestry practices and contribute to sustainable forest management.
IJFE’s scope includes forest engineering operations topics related to the management, harvesting, processing and transport of timber and/or biomass products to industry or other users. Our scope applies to all kinds of forest management and restoration (e.g. short and long rotation; uneven-aged and even-aged; agroforestry) associated with sustainable management, production and transport of timber and biomass products. Our scope normally excludes industrial manufacturing processes (e.g. sawmilling, pulp and paper manufacturing, conversion of biomass into biofuels), materials strength testing, etc. which occur following transport to industry.
FPS is excited to announce that we have launched a new IJFE website with the help of our publishing partner, Taylor & Francis. This site will have the current issue, pre-press articles (before they are published in an issue), historical archives and much more. Visit http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/tife20/current today.
